Er portrtiert Geishas in prachtvollen Kimonos, Samurai, Sumo Ringer und hlt Landschaften in groartigen Bildern fest. Beato prgte damit den Stil der Schule von Yokohama, was seinen europischen Knstlerkollegen Charles Wirgman, Raimund Freiherr Stillfried von Rathenitz und Adolfo
