First note, these are unlined shorts since the description is not clear about it one way or the other. The material is light weight and has a decent amount of stretch in all directions. They came vacuum sealed and double bagged. The waist band is wide and comfortable, and the inseam is right at 5". The drawstring has large plastic aglets. The two front pockets are deep enough to secure an oversized phone or your keys. I'm typically between a 32" and 34" waist, and the mediums are a little on the snug side but not too tight. If you are between sizes, I would recommend to size up. Overall, the quality is nice and there were no loose threads or stitching. With the light weight fabric you barely know they are there and are a comfortable as whatever you wear underneath.

Love these for casual wear

I bought these as running shorts but I've reserved them for casual wear. They are a flattering color that goes well with the current prevailing style, and they are trim and straight and look well made rather than athletic. Would they work as athletic shorts?
