The tapered and layered motif is also an Art Deco design hallmark of the 1930's. You will receive your copper tealight holder with a shiny surface. Over time copper naturally forms a brown oxide layer which can be brightened like new if you so desire. See the last photo for an example of natural patina. Green patination is a unique process

Doesn't hold their attention
I have 5 dogs, and only one of them seems to actually want to play with these toys, and even he's not that enthused. And he'll literally play with anything. I think it's the shape that's unappealing. My smallest sniffs and licks it, gives it a little nibble, hoping it will actually taste like peanut butter, but once he realizes it's just plastic he turns his nose up. They are solid, durable toys that should hold up to power chewers, but none of my power chewers care enough to bother for more than a few minutes. Size wise they're perfectly suited for the sizes intended.
