The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The material and fitting is very good. I would recommend to size down if you want a perfect fitting suit or if you don't have time to alter. I purchased a 4T and 5T for a 5 year old with longer torso compared to legs. The 4T ended up as a perfect fit with no room to grow whereas for the 5T the pants ran a little long but other pieces were perfect.
