With a low slung silhouette and sweeping lines, we gave our shoe last a soft, almond toe while widening the ball of the foot to ensure comfort. This is quite possibly the best comic I have read in quite sometime. The art is great, the story is very well written. It's a fun love letter to 90s Image comics that works even if you've never read an issue of them. My biggest complaint is that there isnt more, as the series ended with a pretty low issue count. Even still it feels complete and is a fun ride. I highly recommend this hardcover as the best way to collect the full series.

Smalltown Superhero Noir

Format: Paperback

Not your standard superhero battle-fest. Local Man is what happens when suddenly you're not 20 anymore, you're kicked off the team in disgrace and have to basically beg your judgy parents for couch space while you somehow, someway, try to put your life back together. And then there are all the murders, just after you come into town. Makes a body think, it does. Hard smalltown noir, with nasty little secrets and petty jealousies, mixed with a superhero chaser, My new favorite.

Back to the 90s

This is one hell of a read with plenty of love for 90s comics. I cannot believe we had a cameo from Boof and an appearance from Battle Pope! The entire series is absolutely flawless with its noir murder mystery and the little homage moments made reading this book a huge nostalgic trip
